The 8th Annual Nocicortinfestival International Short Film Festival invites remarkable short-form storytellers to a charming, 13th Century Italian villa that has served as a source of inspiration to filmmakers the world over. Accommodations are extended to all participating filmmakers, and multiple grants are available to cover travel expenses. All films at the festival are in competition for several awards, including the Nocicortinfestival Award, the City of Noci Award, and the Special Hollyshorts Award. All told, $6,000 USD in cash and services will be extended to some of the most promising filmmakers in the world.
Nocicortinfestival's robust location, stellar lineup of international talent, and enthusiastic audience of film fans combine to create an eye-popping experience visitors won't soon forget. The 13th Annual Nevada City Film Festival (NCFF) brings top independent cinema to the foothills of California. Screening more than 100 films -- in genres including comedy, drama, documentary, and international short-form cinema -- NCFF offers an exciting buffet of great stories and has evolved from an intimate gathering of local filmmakers to a significant industry attraction with great crowds and frequently sold-out screenings. Throughout it all, festival coordinators work with participating filmmakers to ensure that local, regional, and some national media outlets trumpet their successes and increase their visibility.
NCFF filmmakers vie for great prizes, including a $1,500 USD Special Jury Award and a $500 Audience Award. The 4th Annual Film North: Huntsville International Film Festival presents an exciting celebration of cinema amidst a setting of awe-inspiring natural beauty.
