In the Spotlight today is the 10th Annual Chicago International REEL Shorts Film Festival (CIRSFF), honoring excellence in short-form filmmaking with a curated program that complements every element of the filmmaker's presentation. CIRSFF allows the content to direct the presentation, resulting in a uniquely tailored and exciting festival experience with surprises around every corner.
In addition to its thrilling array of genre-defying short films, CIRSFF is proud to present a lecture series featuring well-established independent filmmakers with practical and insightful wisdom to share. Additional festival perks include a gala event at a Chicago hotspot, and a pre-festival filmmaker's screening and networking event. Audience-selected and panel-selected awards are doled out in each category, as well as a "Best of the Fest" award and a range of cash prizes.
Hosted at Columbia College's Film Row Cinema (home to one of the best digital projection systems in the Midwest) and other venues throughout Chicago, CIRSFF promises a thoroughly satisfying screening experience for even the most discerning of moviegoers. CIRSFF is proud to accept all manners of great shorts, including music videos (five minutes or less) and student films created by cineastes at the high school, college, or graduate school levels.
