Submitted films must be no longer than 90 minutes, but can address a limitless range of topics or audiences and can be fashioned in any type of animation style imaginable. The result is a festival that is truly unpredictable -- one that fully revels in the detail-driven, creatively enriching world of animated storytelling. Submit today!

WEST FIELD
SCREENWRITING AWARDS
Averill Park, New York - USA
Winners Announced: October 2013
Upcoming Deadline: August 30, 2013
The 3rd Annual West Field Screenwriting Awards (WSFA) is that unique competition devised solely for writers -- a competition judged by industry professionals who deeply understand the importance and the difficulty of the craft of script development. Located in the gorgeous foothills between the Catskill and Adirondack Mountains in Northern New York, WSFA is an exciting contest dedicating to fostering a sense of community and opportunity among practitioners of an underappreciated art form: screenwriting.
WSFA welcomes original screenplays in multiple genres (including western, comedy, and war) and of varying lengths (from feature-length to short-form works) and evaluates material based solely on the merit of the script, not on the level of experience of the writer. Trophies are crafted from responsibly harvested birch wood and are branded with a hand-forged steel brand made specifically for WSFA.
As a rare competition judged for screenwriters by screenwriters, WSFA offers its submitters truthful and useful recognition from your peers. Don't wait. Send in your screenplay today!
NORWICH
FILM FESTIVAL
Norwich, England - United Kingdom
May 1 to 8, 2014
Upcoming Deadline: August 31, 2013
The 4th Annual Norwich Film Festival (NFF) provides an intellectually and creatively stimulating platform on which short-form filmmakers can interact with, and inform, their audiences. Live-action, animated, and student shorts are all enthusiastically supported, and a diverse assortment of Q&As and workshops round out the unforgettable NFF experience.
Participating filmmakers compete for £250 in each category, and the festival's Best Overall Film (as determined by a panel of industry professionals) is awarded an additional £750. But the real prizes at NFF are the countless networking opportunities the festival offers, and the considerable career boosts that can often result. Shortly after her film, Heartstrings, won the NFF Best Student Film prize, director Rhiannon Evans secured representation. Just as impressive, Eric D. Howell's Ana's Playground screened at the Winter Olympics and at a United Nations summit, following its selection as NFF's Best of Festival.
Just imagine what a bit of NFF exposure could do for you!
