In the Spotlight today is the 33rd Annual Atlantic Film Festival (AFF), offering first-look access to the best international films on the festival circuit. In 2012 alone, AFF screened the world premiere of Shandi Mitchell's directorial debut feature, The Disappeared, as well as Nikolaj Arcel's A Royal Affair, Leos Carax' Holy Motors, and Jacques Audiard's Rust and Bone. These and other acclaimed works played alongside exciting cinema from talented filmmakers on the brink of international discovery. Offering monetary prizes and film production services to talented storytellers in a range of competitive categories, AFF is proud to draw well-deserved attention to filmmakers for whom storytelling is a powerful passion.
