The 60th edition of our Festival will take place from 1 to 6 May 2014.
Works of all genres and formats may be submitted. International productions may not exceed a length of 35 minutes (German productions may not exceed 45 minutes). For both national and international submissions, the production must have been completed 1 January 2013!
Please note that international productions must be German festival premieres. You will find our full regulations and further information here.
There are two separate entry deadlines for international and German productions: international submissions must have reached Oberhausen by 14 January 2014, German productions by 14 February 2014. There will be no extensions!
Films can only be submitted via www.kurzfilmtage.de/engl, where you can choose between two options: you can send a preview DVD or upload the film file. In both cases sending the filled-in entry form is required. Please find all information regarding the submission process here.
Submissions via reelport.com directly are no longer possible. If you choose the upload option, though, you will be redirected to reelport, as all uploads will still be handled via the reelport website.
All submitted works will be part of the Video Library, where they can be previewed by buyers, curators, festival programmers and other professionals.
The MuVi Award for the best German music video has its own set of regulations and entry form.
Further programme information about the 60th International Short Film Festival Oberhausen will be published at the beginning of 2014.
Looking forward to your submission and with best regards,
